Treatment Process

Stage 1

Introduction and Assessment

Stage 1 occurs during Week 1 and Week 2. The first meeting is a relaxed introduction to hear your concerns and situation as a parent. To ensure the complete focus of the parents, this meeting is parents only.

The following week, parents and children attend an observational session where I professionally assess and evaluate your child. Very rarely will I require a second follow-up observational session in week 3.

Stage 2

Analysis and Solution

Stage 2 typically occurs in week 3, however if an additional observational session is required from Stage 1, Analysis and Solution begins from week 4.

Stage 2 includes two crucial steps:

3a) In this no-meeting session, I take the time to holistically evaluate all collected data and create a custom treatment plan best suited to your family.

3b) After the development of the plan, the primary meeting includes discussion of the findings, evaluation, and custom treatment plan. The treatment plan includes goals, practical advice, strategies and short term changes to ensure the improving development of your child.

As developing the treatment plan takes multiple personal hours, Stage 2 is billable for 2 sessions, where the total cost is HKD$2,400.

Stage 3

Treatment

As each child and treatment plan is unique, treatment time varies. Average minimum treatment time is approximately 12 weeks, but generally, results can be seen within 2 weeks of treatment.

The custom treatment plan is conducted through weekly "treatment" sessions with parents and children. As the family progresses through the treatment plan, weekly meetings include a strong focus on your child's indiviudal development needs and challenges. Weekly sessions are used to evaluate progress and make small adjustments to goals, strategies, and practical guidance as required.
